Porsche Panamera: the luxury sedan that doesn’t forget about performance

by Sales Team on December 14, 2017

Porsche has always liked to do things differently. Just think about the Porsche Cayenne when it was first unveiled. Purists were not happy at first, but that changed once they got behind the wheel of the brand’s first sport utility vehicle. That’s when they realized that Porsche’s DNA has not been altered in any way.

The same can be said about the first Porsche Panamera when it was first introduced. A four-door sedan? That couldn’t be good thought once again the Porsche purists. Then, once again, they got behind the wheel of the Panamera and realized that despite what it may look like or the fact that there are two extra doors, this was a true Porsche.

More performance and more elegance in the all-new Porsche Panamera

Fast-forward to last year when Porsche unveiled the second-generation Porsche Panamera. More refined from a design standpoint with an improved and even more luxurious interior, the all-new Porsche Panamera ups the ante when it comes to elegance while still being a true sports car at heart.

The biggest thing we notice about the new Porsche Panamera is how refined the lines have become. Although the previous Panamera was very popular, many felt that its designed was perhaps a little too unique for some. The new model is still one of the most recognizable models on the road, but it is also a lot more elegant in the eyes of many. The same can be said about the interior which now features a fully digital center console that allows the Panamera to stand out with confidence against its competition.

A wide range of versions with the new Porsche Panamera

Porsche introduced a brand new model to the Panamera family this year with the Sport Turismo, a more versatile Panamera that has also been praised for its design. The Sport Turismo joins the Executive long-wheelbase model and the traditional Panamera sedan to make the lineup one of the most complete in the industry.

Starting at $ 97,300, the Porsche Panamera’s entry-level six-cylinder engine delivers 330 horsepower and gets you to 100 km/h in less than 6.0 seconds. All-wheel drive is available starting at $ 102,500 while buyers who are looking for more power can turn to the Panamera 4S that features a 440-horsepower engine that gets you to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. And if that isn’t enough, the Panamera Turbo features a 550-horsepower biturbo V8 engine that gets you to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds. Who said sedans were boring?

The Porsche Panamera is for buyers who want to enjoy Porsche’s unique driving dynamics and personality while also being able to carry four passengers in total comfort. To learn more about the new Porsche Panamera, contact us today at Porsche Center Calgary.
